Mentoring & Group Workshops for Physiotherapists. We offer small group workshops and clinical mentoring for physiotherapists. This is an opportunity to discuss complex cases, upskill in specific areas within the field of women's health, and practice your skills within a safe environment.
Our workshops run on set dates and include the following workshops:
a) POP-Q & Pessary:
This 2-hour workshop focuses on practicing the POP-Q assessment system and improving pessary insertion skills.
We’ll cover clinical reasoning for selecting and troubleshooting pessaries, including gellhorns, and review POP-Q points (GH, PB, TVL, C, D, Aa, Ba, Ap, Bp) in relation to pelvic floor anatomy. Each participant will choose a pessary to practice with, such as rings, cubes, dishes, or gellhorns, and may try one or two additional pessaries selected by others based on skill level. Participants must be willing to volunteer in practice sessions.
Requirements: Completion of Taryn Hallam’s Advanced POP SUI Course or similar certification
Cost: $295 (includes GST & one pessary)
b) Pelvic Pain:
This 2-hour workshop offers hands-on practice in pelvic floor pain assessment and treatment in a supportive setting.
It includes:

Clinical reasoning tailored for pelvic floor assessments.

Recognizing verbal and non-verbal client cues to build trust and rapport.

Practicing initial assessment and treatment techniques, focusing on pelvic floor anatomy and vaginal mucosa.

Progressing treatment skills, including the use of pelvic wands, dilators, and EMG.

Complex case discussions and troubleshooting.
Requirements: Completion of the WHTA Persistent Pelvic Pain Course or equivalent certification, or clinical experience in women’s health with pelvic pain clients.
